Welcome to Moorland Yoga and Mindfulness

MYM is based in West Yorkshire. It is founded on and guided by the principles of supporting everyone to develop their wellbeing.

We offer Hatha style yoga classes, 1 to 1 sessions, and corporate sessions. Hatha Yoga is the traditional form of yoga and suitable for all abilities, ages and genders.

Menopause yoga classes and workshops are also available at MYM. This is a way of practising yoga designed to support and empower women through all stages of the menopause.

An important part of our wellbeing offering is our Mindfulness courses and mindfulness meditation sessions. Mindfulness is a practice that can help us all to manage stress and improve how we approach our daily lives.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga involves the breath, body and mind. Classes last around an hour and include yoga poses and relaxation.

Moor Positive Menopause - Menopause Yoga

This is a form of practising yoga which is especially designed to help women with the issues and symptoms that are experienced when going through the stages of the menopause.

Come and join us on one of our wellbeing workshops, courses or retreats.

Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness is about being aware of your feelings, recognising how you are in the present moment, letting go of judgement, pausing and choosing how to respond to the stressors in your life. The tools of mindfulness are learned and practised through meditation.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a softer, more traditional style of yoga. It is a mat based practise with a long term goal of achieving strong, flexible joints.

Beginners Yoga

A gentle class which explores the basics of a yoga practice. Classes last around an hour and include yoga poses and relaxation.

Your Teacher

at Moorland Yoga and Mindfulness

I am Jill and I am the person behind Moorland Yoga and Mindfulness.

I have practised yoga for a lot of years and then when I reached 57 I had the opportunity to train as a Yoga Teacher. I passed my Yoga teacher training course with a Distinction and am now a Yoga Alliance Professional accredited Yoga Teacher.

I teach Hatha yoga a traditional form of yoga which involves a series of poses (asanas) which are linked to the breath. My classes are for all abilities, ages and genders. I love the way yoga makes me feel physically and mentally and I love to share that with everyone.

I am an accredited Menopause Yoga Teacher as well. I am so excited to share this way of practising yoga with women to help support them through their journey through the menopause.

I offer local yoga classes, I teach 1 to 1 sessions and corporate yoga.

I am certified to teach Mindfulness to adults and young people. Mindfulness is a way of living your life and encompasses practises that help you manage your stress and anxiety, improve your self-compassion and generally improve your well-being.

I teach Mindfulness Courses, 1 to 1 sessions and also take mindfulness in to schools, businesses and the charity sector.
