Yin Yoga is a softer, more traditional style of yoga. It is a mat based practise with a long term goal of achieving strong, flexible joints. The postures in Yin Yoga are held for some time and the purpose of the practise is to exercise an awareness, to learn to relax and to be still.

The physical benefits of the practise include improvement in range of motion and flexibility. The poses help to reduce stress and to activate your “Rest and digest” system. Stress evaporates as we pay attention to our breath and allow it to slow as we become still in a pose. It is a practise suitable for everyone.
