Mindfulness comes from the Buddhist tradition but has now developed into a secular practise that is accessible for everyone. Mindfulness is practised through meditation.

Mindfulness is about being aware of your feelings, recognising them, letting go of judgement and then choosing how to respond to the stressors in your life. It is an empowering practise that enables you to make a choice about how you deal with the difficulties that we all face. Mindfulness does not take away all those difficulties but helps us cope.

Mindfulness has been found to help manage stress, reduce anxiety, improve self compassion by learning to still that self critical voice. It plays an important role in improving well-being generally.
